SPECIAL COLLECTION FOR HURRICANE AND WILDFIRE RELIEF
Archbishop José H. Gomez of Los Angeles, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), has asked that bishops across the country consider taking up a special collection for the humanitarian, long-term recovery, and Church needs arising from the increasing number of natural disasters in the United States including Hurricane Laura, and the wildfires devastating areas of California, Oregon and Washington. In conjunction with the USCCB, Archbishop Etienne has asked for a special secondary collection in the parishes of our archdiocese during the month of September to assist in relief and recovery efforts for those impacted by natural disasters in our country.
